I'm looking to overhaul the blog in the next couple of weeks and make it a bit more individual than the standard blogger templates - if anyone knows anyone who would like to do this for me, for nothing other than kudos and credit (or a beer if they are in the vicinity!) - drop me an e-mail at the address on the right there.
I know there are loads of 'Free Blog Templates' out there, but what can I say - I want something custom.

Have you tried http://www.w3schools.com/ at all? They do good "how to" guides for most web languages.
I'd have a pop myself however I'm pretty rubbish at all but the basics of HTML!
I'll check it out, john. my plea for help is due to the fact that i seem to have amazing superpowers that render all but the most basic IT-related stuff beyond my ken.
HTML is pretty basic so I shouldn't worry to much, make sure you back up your template and then just play around with it until you find what you're looking for.
Do you have anything in particular in mind you're looking for? If you do know what you're looking for then, with HTML, that's half the battle won. Sticking a pretty front end on something has never been something I really enjoyed however I'd attempt to point you in the right direction if you fancied having a go at it yourself.
P.S. Luckily your super powers don't extend to food or drink ;o)
