I have never been to a beer festival but I'm tempted to try one of these. Which ones in your experience are the better ones?

Plenty to go at there! Don't forget to pop in at the White Cross fest after the match tomorrow to drown your sorrows!;-)

Katie - The Leeds, Bradford and Skipton ones are all good. I can reccommend North's Belgian fest too - the guys at North always put on a good fest.

I would say Bradford - the Victoria Hall in Saltaire is a lovely venue and the beers and entertainment are good.

how does it work, is it just like a massive bar and you buy which ever beer you fancy?

Didn't quite catch that! ;o)

Will - (groan). Yet again the curse of the terriers strikes. next time, damn you, next time!!
Katie - essentially, yes. You usually buy tokens, which are exchanged for beers, either by the pint or the half. Get your tokens, get your little guide, pick what you like and off you go!!

How splendid! A website dedicated to the art of beerage :) Don't suppose anyone knows if you need to book tickets for the Guiseley fest? Don't want a repeat of Saltaire (sold out by the time got in gear to book), or Boston Spa (ran out of beer - at a beer fest?!?!?!)
Can't find any info on it
Cheers (quite literally...)
